SmartOne on Firestick and Android TV: this is how it works (2026)

“Does that also work on my Firestick?” After “how much does it cost”, it is the question we receive most often. Understandable: after a smart TV, the Firestick is the most popular device for watching IPTV, and no one wants a subscription that they will not be able to access on their own device.

Answer: yes, that works. Just not in the same way as on a Samsung or LG, and there is one misunderstanding that we correct every week. Here’s the full story.

The misunderstanding: one app for everything

SmartOne is really designed for the TV manufacturers: Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS) and the newer models from Hisense and Panasonic. The app simply comes from the app store and works with your MAC address.

The Firestick and Android TV boxes run a different system. Amazon uses Fire OS (a modified version of Android) and Android TV is, as the name suggests, just Android. SmartOne doesn’t just run on that. You have two options on those devices: one easy, one for those who really want SmartOne on everything.

Option 1: the easy route — an Android IPTV app (our recommendation)

There are apps on Android that work excellently there. TiviMate is by far the best known, and IPTV Smarters Pro works fine too. You simply install such an app from the Play Store and then there are three ways to link it to your subscription:

  • M3U link: we send a link, you paste it into the app, done.
  • Login (XC): you will receive a username, password and server address from us. The app will then automatically retrieve all channels, films and series. This is what we prefer: no messing with links.
  • MAC method: only works with apps that are made for it, and that is not the case with most Android apps.

Our practice: Samsung or LG at home? Then we arrange SmartOne. If you are going to watch on your Firestick or Android box, we will set up TiviMate or Smarters for you with a login. Same subscription, same channels, just a different player. That’s the best of both — and for those who want to know more about TiviMate: the detailed guide is here.

Option 2: SmartOne on your Android device

Continue to say “I want SmartOne”? It’s possible. This is how you do it on a Firestick or Android box:

  1. Download the APK from the official SmartOne website or a reliable source. Please note: search for “SmartOne APK download” and you’ll find sites with embedded stuff you don’t want — just like the fake Smarters sites, we warned about this before.
  2. Put a sideloader on your Firestick. “Downloader” is the best known: install from the Amazon Appstore, open it, and enter the URL of the APK. On an Android TV you can also simply install the file from a USB stick.
  3. Install the APK. The Firestick then asks permission for “unknown sources” — you have to do that, that’s part of it.
  4. Open the app, read your MAC address at the bottom of the screen and send it to us. Same ritual as on your Samsung or LG.

Is it possible? Yes. Does it work fine? Usually yes. But honestly: the Android version is a bit stiffer than the version on Tizen or webOS and the operation with your remote control is a bit less. That is why almost all of our customers with a Firestick use TiviMate. Not because you have to, but because it works better.

The pitfall: the wrong APK

There are sites that offer “SmartOne Pro unlocked” or “SmartOne free premium”. The following applies: don’t do it. You add malware and if it works it is often a cracked old version that stops with the next TV update. You can recognize the official app by the blue icon with the white play symbol — and you can separate the rest. If something sounds too good (“unlimited channels: 100% free and without subscription – all day”), it’s a fake site.

Just this: your subscription is up to you, not to one device

Perhaps most importantly: you don’t have to choose just one device. We link multiple devices to one account. Your Samsung TV runs SmartOne, your bedroom TV another player with the same login and your Firestick a third. All on the same subscription, all with the same account details.

The short answer to your question

  • Fire stick: yes, just. Use an Android IPTV app like TiviMate or IPTV Smarters with the M3U link or the login we give you — and you’ll be watching in less than ten minutes.
  • Android TV box (Nvidia Shield, Xiaomi, Formular and you name it): ditto.
  • SmartOne APK on a stick You can, but it’s better to do it via the official app site. Don’t use a random download site. Ultimately, you just look on the device that you like.

It doesn’t matter which device you use: if you are with us, we will set up the right app for you. Test it for free first and then decide.

Test it for free first and see how you like it. Only then do you decide.
