IPTV You can install Smarters Pro via the app store of your device: Samsung Smart Hub, LG Content Store, Google Play (Android), Apple App Store (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV) or via the Downloader app on a Firestick. Then you log in with the details of your IPTV provider — usually Xtream Codes (username, password and server address) or an M3U link. You’ll be watching in ten minutes. This page explains each step per device, plus solutions for the most common errors.
One thing in advance, so that you are not faced with any surprises: IPTV Smarters Pro is a media player, not a television service. The app itself does not contain any channels. You need a subscription with an IPTV provider; the app is the screen you watch. Whoever is selling you a “Smarters subscription” is actually selling something else — more on that below.

What exactly is IPTV Smarters Pro?
IPTV Smarters Pro is one of the most used IPTV players in the world. The app runs on almost everything: Android, iOS, Fire TV Stick, Windows, Mac and most smart TVs. You log in with your provider’s details and the app will automatically retrieve your channels, films, series and program guide (EPG).
The app is popular because the interface is simple: large tiles for Live TV, Movies, Series and Settings. This is nice for beginners — you don’t have to be a settings freak to work with it. Those who want to arrange more (recordings, multiple playlists, extensive EPG) are more likely to turn to TiviMate. But as the first app on a new device, Smarters is a logical choice.
Please note: the official app does not sell channels
There are dozens of websites that pretend to be the “official” Smarters site and try to sell you a subscription there. It’s not. The real developer only makes the player. Features of fake sites:
- They sell “Smarters subscriptions” or “lifetime access” for a few bucks.
- Payment via PayPal “Friends and Family” — without buyer protection.
- Hidden owner and no customer service available.
- Domain names that don’t sound official.
Do you need a subscription? Then choose a provider who first tests and then pays — such as our free 24 hour trial. You always download the app itself via the official store of your device, never via a separate download site.
IPTV Install Smarters Pro on Samsung Smart TV
- Press the Homebutton on your remote control and open Apps (or Smart Hub).
- Look up “Smarters” or “IPTV Smarters Pro”.
- Check the developer before installing. Do you want to be sure you have the right app? Check the reviews and the number of downloads in the store.
- Click Install and open the app after installation.
- Accept the terms and conditions and proceed to the login screen (see below under “Login”).
Are you having trouble finding the app in the Samsung Store? It is not listed on older Tizen models. Install IPTV Smarters Pro on LG Smart TV
- Press Home and open the LG Content Store.
- Look up “IPTV Smarters Pro”.
- Click Install and open the app.
- Accept the terms and conditions and log in with your provider details.

Install IPTV Smarters Pro on Android TV or Android box
- Open the Google Play Store on your TV or box.
- Look up “IPTV Smarters Pro”.
- Pay attention to the developer name — look-alikes with advertisements are circulating in the stores.
- Install, open the app and accept the terms.
- Select at the start screen Login with Xtream Codes API or Login with M3U URL (see below).

Install IPTV Smarters Pro on Fire TV Stick
Smarters is not just found in the Amazon Appstore on a Firestick. You install the app via the Downloader-method:
- Install the app Downloader from the Amazon App Store.
- Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and put Apps from unknown sources on (for the Downloader app).
- Open Downloader and enter the download URL from the official Smarters website.
- Wait for the APK to download and click Install.
- After installation, delete the APK file (will free up space on your stick) and open the app.

IPTV Smarters on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
On iPhone and iPad, search for “Smarters” in the App Store and install the official app (Smarters Player Lite or Pro, depending on what is currently in the store). On Apple TV it works via the tvOS App Store — make sure you pick the right version, because there are several apps with almost the same name in the store. Therefore, always check the reviews.

Login: Xtream Codes API or M3U?
After installation, the app will ask for your subscription details. There are two common ways:

Set the EPG (program guide).
With Xtream Codes, the app usually loads the program guide automatically. Do you see an empty EPG? Try this:
- Go to Settings → EPG and tap Reload EPG.
- Wait a few minutes; The first time it may take a while to load.
- Do you use M3U? Then manually enter the EPG URL that you received from your provider.
- Still empty? Check whether your internet connection works on the device itself (see also how much internet you need for IPTV).
IPTV Smarters not working? The most common problems
Incorrect password or “login failed”
Make sure you’re using the correct username, password, and server address — pay attention to capital letters and spaces. Do you use M3U? Then check whether the link has been copied completely, including http(s)://. If it still doesn’t work, ask your provider for new login details; sometimes an account is accidentally blocked.
Empty playlist
An empty playlist usually means an incorrect server address or an account that is not (yet) active. Log in again or ask your provider to check the status of your account.
Image stutters or buffering
In most cases, buffering is caused by the connection between your TV and your router, not by the app. First check your speed on the TV itself and then read our guide against buffering and stuttering — it contains the solution for most home situations.
App crashes or freezes
Update the app to the latest version, clear the app cache in your device settings, or uninstall and reinstall the app. If the problem persists, switching players is often faster than trying to search.

The app itself is a legal media player, found in the official stores. It only becomes an issue if the channels you put on are offered without the permission of the rights holders.
